California and the Water Problems

Very interesting article in the Economist the other week about water in California. Apparently, the state has been in conflict for decades, as the environmental lobby, urban consumers and agriculture battle it out over an ever-diminishing supply of water. Water has divided Californians since Mark Twain remarked that “whiskey’s for drinking, water’s for fighting over.” [...]
